The Design Process

Consultation

First of all a consultation should be arranged at a convenient time for you as the client to start talking about your landscaping needs.  Time will be spent discussing what is wanted from your outdoor space. We will look into what practicalities are needed as well as the aesthetic aspects. We will need to know what purpose you want your garden to serve, during the consultation we will then be able to draft up some key initial ideas and themes for your garden.
The consultation is about getting to know the garden space, the needs of the client, the vision and also allowing the client to gather confidence in a strong positive working relationship that will be sustained through the whole project.

There are many possibilities for any garden space, however an estimated figure of how much you would like to spend is needed at the consultation to govern how we can best turn your vision into reality on your budget. We are more than happy to advise you on getting the most for your money or even designing a garden to increase the value of your house.

Design

After the consultation we will then develop a detailed garden design plan. In this drawing we will highlight the overall structure of your new garden, how we have used your budget and where the practicalities come in.

The completed design will list the work that will need to be carried out and the different stages of the build. You will be informed of how the project will progress and what will need to be done at each stage, it will also be a chance to show you how the materials we together have chosen will be used. 

At this time we will also include a full contract that covers all the important information relating to your project and its completion.

Construction

Because we offer both the design aspect as well as the build of your garden we will be fully aware of how it needs to be built. Also having followed the project through from start to end we will be able to offer guidance on the maintenance requirements and demonstrate how any fittings work, such as water features or lighting for example.
